During a theatrical performance taking place in İzmit Square (Turkey), a stray dog became the center of attention with a gesture that touched everyone present. It approached an actor who was pretending to be injured and lying on the ground, and with all the gentleness these animals are capable of, it tried to comfort the man.

Actor Numan Ertuğrul Uzunsoy, playing the role of a Turkish hero at the moment of falling to the ground, injured and in agony, certainly did not expect the arrival of a little dog that, not comprehending the difference between reality and fiction, thought of offering solace to the man.

“The character I was portraying was injured and suffering. He had fallen off a horse and was breathing heavily,” said the actor to the local newspaper Kocaeli.

Of course, it was all part of the theatrical performance, but the adorable and unexpected reaction of the unusual spectator was anything but staged.

As Numan lay on the ground, the concerned dog approached, interrupting the performance, and snuggled up against the actor’s neck. Initially, Numan didn’t understand what was happening: “I felt warmth on my face. At first, I thought my co-star was coming close to me. Then the dog licked me, sniffed me, and clung to my neck.”

You can see exactly what happened in the following video:

Such an occurrence had never happened to the Turkish actor before, and he took the opportunity to highlight the importance of adopting these sweet animals living on the streets.

“A good message was delivered to adopt and protect animals. Animals are our conscience. We shouldn’t be afraid of them. I have goosebumps. My character was writhing in pain, and he felt my pain.”

The moment was heartwarming and well-received by all. The audience immediately burst into applause, although the show was momentarily interrupted to remove the gentle “intruder” from the scene.

Numan expressed his intention to find the dog and secure a loving family for it, as a way of returning the kindness it showed him.
