The 16-year-old Martinez joined Real Madrid’s youth academy around 12 months ago from Levante. This summer, Real Madrid added stars like Kylian Mbappe and 18-year-old Brazilian talent Endrick to their squad. Despite these additions, coach Carlo Ancelotti continues to focus on homegrown talents and has been impressed with Martinez, including him in Real Madrid’s U.S. tour. Martinez debuted against AC Milan, catching the attention of Premier League giants like MU and Chelsea. However, Real Madrid isn’t interested in selling him, seeing a bright future for Martinez in Madrid.

Ancelotti commented, “It’s time for young players to enjoy themselves. Martinez has potential; he’s young but has everything a Real Madrid center-back needs.”
Real Madrid’s winger Lucas Vazquez also praised Martinez: “I wasn’t in his position at 16. He’s an incredible kid and played well against AC Milan. He has huge potential, and we’ll all try to help him continue to develop.”

Both Chelsea and Manchester United are targeting young talents, with Chelsea recently signing Kendry Paez and Willian Estevao. MU co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe emphasized focusing on emerging stars rather than spending heavily on established names like Mbappe, aiming to find the next big talents.
