Real Madrid arranges exit from Kick-off

Central defender David Alaba will likely return to play in early January 2025.

AS quoted a source close to Real Madrid saying: “Alaba is becoming more and more confident and completing many recovery exercises. Most likely he will return to the field in early January 2025. If this happens, Real Madrid’s need to sign a new centre-back will not be necessary, as Alaba will reunite with Antonio Rudiger. Even Aurelien Tchouameni can play in that position.”

Alaba, 32 years old, had to undergo a long recovery process because of an anterior cruciate ligament injury to his left knee in a match against Villarreal in December 2023. During treatment, Alaba encountered many difficulties due to trauma and prolonged pain.

Every two weeks, the Austrian player has to fly back to Innsbruck (Austria) to have his condition checked by Christian Fink, his surgeon. Alaba’s recovery process was not shared. He had to undergo a small case of commercial cleaning, targeting the recovery process.

Real Madrid has not given an exact time for Alaba’s return. “Los Blancos” had to delay twice for the Austrian star to return to the field. However, the current recovery progresses well, allowing Alaba to be ready to fight again in early 2025. Alaba’s re-production will be a valuable addition to an already victorious silver defense. heavy due to Real Madrid’s injury.

Alaba will turn 33 in June 2025. His contract will expire in a year. Real Madrid can evaluate his performance in the second phase of this season to make future decisions.

However, it is likely that Real Madrid will only limit each year if they choose to keep Alaba. This is the main list for players over 30 years old at the Bernabeu.

In the Leganes match in round 14 of La Liga today, November 25, coach Carlo Ancelotti is likely to use the centre-back duo Rudiger and Raul Asencio.
