Real Madrid’s bus collided on the M40 highway after the Royal Spanish team lost 0-2 to Liverpool in the 2024/25 Champions League qualifying round on the morning of November 28.

A video shared on social media shows the bubut stopped inside the road, appearing to have mutated onto a truck. Luckily, no players or members of the football team were in the car at that time. According to Mirror, the car floats the team’s competition outfit.
Normally, Real stars will fly back to Madrid immediately after matches in Europe. However, the team’s bolt vehicle still needs to be recycled back to Madrid. High-speed M40 is a popular route chosen by the club’s drivers.
Real’s luxury bus, launched in October 2024, has a modern design with hi-tech logos and colors. The car is inspired by the new Santiago Bernabeu stadium, with a total upgrade cost of up to 1.5 billion pounds.
This is not the first time Real’s bus has had an accident. A similar incident occurred in February, when coach Carlo Ancelotti and his team moved to Germany to play RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
Due to a strike at Leipzig airport, they had to fly to Erfurt, then travel more than 160 km by bus. During this journey, Real’s bus collided with a white Toyota.
Returning to the match at Anfield, Real Madrid received a strong blow in their journey to protect their Champions League kingdom. They lost to Liverpool 0-2, on the day Kylian Mbappé missed a penalty.
Real Madrid is now deep in position 24, the last position for a play-off spot into the round of 16 of the Champions League. With just one more stumble in the upcoming matches, the La Liga representative is at risk of stopping early. After 5 matches, Real Madrid only has 6 points.
