Identification & Behavior: ~9.5 cm (3.7 in). The Ocellated Piculet has grayish-brown upperparts. The underparts are whitish with scaling on the throat and upper breast that grades to sparse spots on the rest of the underparts. It has faint barring on the fɩапkѕ. It resembles the Speckle-breasted Piculet, but are not known to overlap.
