Band-tailed Manakin.
The band-tailed manakin (Pipra fasciicauda) is a species of bird in the family Pipridae. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Peru.

Small bird. Males are yellow with black wings and back, red cap and variable red on the breast; males also have a white stripe on the tail, which is more visible in flight.

Females are dull olive-yellow with a slightly yellow belly.

Compared to other females, female orange-headed wrens have white eyes and are more yellow with a yellowish belly. Found in the understory of mature forest, as well as bamboo thickets. Listen for the male’s song, a descending whistled “teew.”

It measures about 11 cm. The male has a red crown, nape and upper back and the remaining upperparts are black. The forehead, face and underparts are yellow with red streaks across the breast. There is a white band across the base of the black tail. The iris is white. The female is olive-green with a pale belly.
