Meet the “Freels Five” — four fierce little girls and one brave boy: Adelyn, Eliana, Linnea, Harper and Fisher. Each barely two pounds at birth. Each now a living miracle.
“There were over 20 medical staff swarming the room like it was a military operation,” said one nurse. “We had just one hour to prepare. It was all hands on deck.”
But rewind a few months and it’s even more unbelievable.
The Freels were about to move into a cozy one-bedroom apartment when they got the ultrasound that changed everything.
“I called the landlord and said, ‘We’re gonna need to cancel the lease… we’re having FIVE babies,’” Graham Freels recalled. “He thought I was joking.”
The couple uprooted their lives, moved states, and battled nausea, swelling, and sleepless nights. All to give these quintuplets a fighting chance.
Now back home in Washington with 250+ diapers down in just two weeks and a house that never sleeps, the Freels are getting help from family, friends, and even total strangers.
And while the chaos is real, so is the gratitude.
“They’re loud. They’re tiny. They’re perfect,” Stephanie said. “We’re just thankful they’re here — and they’re ours.”
