At first, it seemed simple — just a bit of chest pain, maybe asthma. That’s what the doctors said. But for 10-year-old Tanner, what started as a small complaint would spiral into one of the most painful and life-changing experiences a child could endure.

By the time doctors discovered the mistake, Tanner had already endured days of unnecessary chemotherapy.
His parents were devastated — the kind of heartbreak that leaves you questioning every decision, every moment, every word.
“How could this happen?” his mother later wrote. “We trusted the process. We trusted the experts. And now, our son has gone through so much pain that never should have been his to bear.”
The emotional toll has been heavy. The family lives in a constant state of motion — long drives to specialists, sleepless nights spent at his bedside, and endless ‘what ifs’
that no parent can silence.
