Megan Thee Stallion made a strong impression during her first Thanksgiving with Dallas Mavericks guard Klay Thompson’s family, cooking the entire holiday dinner and receiving high praise from his parents.

The Houston rapper prepared the full meal for the NBA star’s family, including turkey, macaroni and cheese, dressing and more.

This event marked her first major holiday with the Thompsons and came with plenty of pressure, in Megan’s own words.

“I was really nervous,” Megan said in the Instagram video showing her cooking the meal. “Because I was like, ‘Dang, I’m really finna cook for my man and his whole family.’ I hope they love this because I got to show them that I really love their son!”

According to Klay’s father, Mychal Thompson, a former NBA player, Megan delivered.

“The Thanksgiving dinner was the best Thanksgiving food I’ve ever eaten,” Mychal said on ESPN LA. “Megan Thee Stallion should be Megan Thee Chef.

“That’s how good the food was. It was unbelievable. She went out of her way to make sure everybody was well-fed.”

Mychal Thompson added that the leftovers were so plentiful that guests had to take bags home.

“We had to take tons of bags home. There were so many leftovers,” Mychal said. “So, our guests had to take home. And it was one of the best Thanksgivings we ever had, thanks to Megan.”

Megan shared her excitement about getting the family’s stamp of approval.

“Mr. Thompson definitely said I could own my own restaurant,” Megan said. “I’m glad I got the stamp of approval from the father. But, the mother! … Miss Julie was my number one stamp of approval.”

Megan also called Julie Thompson “the hostess with the mostest” after the two sat courtside together during Klay Thompson’s game in Los Angeles on Friday night.

“Miss Julie was the star of the show,” Megan said during a courtside interview. “Miss Julie is the hostess with the mostest.”

Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion went public with their relationship over the summer and have been together since. The Mavericks lost their post-Thanksgiving game to the Los Angeles Lakers, but bounced back with a 114-110 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday with Klay Thompson scoring 23 points off the bench.
