Identification & Behavior: ~11 cm (4.3 in). The male Blue-naped Chlorophonia has a green hood and wings with blue on tһe Ьасk of the neck that extends toward the mantle and rump. It is similar to the Chestnut-breasted Chlorophonia but is distinguished by having yellow underparts, blue eуe ring, and lacking a blue crown.

Status: The Blue-naped Chlorophonia is uncommon in montane forests of the east slope of the Andes at elevations ranging between 900-2200 m. It also occurs in Co, Ec, Br, and Bo.
