Miracle 1lb puppy landed at the feet of construction workers and has since been named Tony Hawk after the pro-skater

A tiny Chihuahua puppy is lucky to be alive after it was picked up by a hawk who wanted to take him away to eat.
The miracle 1lb dog fell at the feet of construction workers who heard it crying out as the bird of prey lifted him into the air.
As the builders looked up to see where the noise was coming from, the pup fell to the ground.
Miraculously it didn’t suffer any broken bones, and was left with just a few scratches and puncture wounds from the bird.

The dog has since been named Tony Hawk, after the pro-skater and was taken to Austin Animal Center in Texas, USA.
The centre posted to their Facebook page to say: “We’d like to introduce you to this nugget, who we’ve all taken to calling ‘Miracle Puppy’.
“This teeny tiny guy was picked up by a hawk and then subsequently dropped from mid-air.
“It’s a miracle that he not only survived, but that the wounds on his head and chest are fairly mild.
“This sweetie is now recovering in a foster home for the next few weeks.
