Hello, I’m Bentley’s mom, and I’m reaching out to share my son’s heartbreaking story — a story that has been filled with unimaginable challenges. Bentley is my sweet, caring 9-year-old boy, whose smile could light up any room. He has a heart full of love and kindness, and even in his hardest moments, he has never stopped being the brave little boy I know. But behind that smile is a battle that no child should ever have to face.
On March 28, 2022, our world changed forever when Bentley was diagnosed with leukemia. Since then, nearly half of his childhood has been spent in hospital rooms, enduring multiple rounds of chemotherapy, countless blood transfusions, and long, exhausting days in the hospital. It’s been a painful journey — one that no mother should ever have to go through. Yet, through it all, Bentley has shown strength that I never could have imagined. Even when he’s too weak to sit up, he still tries to smile at me. That’s my son — a warrior.

When Treatment Failed
We had held onto hope for two full years, believing that the chemotherapy would eventually save him. But in September 2024, our worst fear became reality: the treatment failed. Bentley’s only remaining chance for survival is a bone marrow transplant.
Just when we were preparing for the transplant, another nightmare struck. On December 9, 2024, Bentley was rushed to the ICU after his urea levels spiked, causing swelling in his brain. That night, I feared I was going to lose him. Now, Bentley faces not one, but two life-threatening battles: leukemia and a serious neurological complication.
What Bentley Faces Every Day

Bentley’s life now consists of pain, fever, and the constant hum of machines keeping him alive. He can’t go to school, he can’t play outside like other children. He’s dependent on frequent blood transfusions, and his immunity is so low that even the slightest infection could be life-threatening. Yet, through it all, Bentley continues to fight. Every day, he wakes up and tries. As a mother, I’m in awe of the strength he shows — strength that seems impossible for someone so small.
The Struggle to Afford His Treatment
Since Bentley’s diagnosis, we’ve given everything we have to keep him going. But the costs are overwhelming. Here’s a breakdown of what we are facing:

- SGD 28,500 for pre-transplant procedures
- SGD 114,000 for the bone marrow transplant
- SGD 28,500 for post-transplant care
- SGD 57,000 for Bentley’s ICU stay due to brain swelling
- SGD 85,500 for ongoing treatments and medications
That totals SGD 313,500 — far more than we can afford. We’ve already drained our savings just to cover a small portion of these expenses. As a mother, it breaks my heart to know that money is standing between us and saving my son’s life.

Why We’re Reaching Out
We can’t do this alone anymore. We need your help. Your donation can bring us closer to Bentley’s recovery. Every little bit helps, and every bit of support gives us hope and strength to keep going.
Please, help us give Bentley the future he deserves — a future where he can grow up, go to school, laugh, run, and simply be a child again.

Thank you for reading Bentley’s story. Thank you for caring. Your kindness means the world to us and gives us the strength to continue this fight. With your help, Bentley won’t have to fight alone.
With all my heart,
Bentley’s Mom
