A week ago today, we thought Brielle’s earthly mission was complete. We had the confirmation from hospice that she might have days if not hours, the signs were all there, we had our families over to mourn with us, we watched every breath, and we spoke to her as she slept.

A week ago today, we thought Brielle’s earthly mission was complete. We had the confirmation from hospice that she might have days if not hours, the signs were all there, we had our families over to mourn with us, we watched every breath, and we spoke to her as she slept.

And then Monday came!😭She went to school, and that was truly a miracle. This week, there has been no medical explanation as to why we have had good days. But we absolutely have had beautiful days!

The roller coaster of thinking it’s her last night, to having hope again is indescribable. Telling her little brother that she might never wake up again, to seeing them watching their favorite shows together again, it’s confusing. We have grieved her death multiple times, we feel crazy. I am trying every day to heal her little body, keep her comfortable, and do everything her little mind wants to accomplish.

Unfortunately, last night was absolutely awful. We felt like we were starting over, grieving again, can’t find a good regimen for pain, she’s restless, crying. We are doing anything and everything to help her find relief.
