Kylian Mbappe declared he was not interested in a specific role, after taking Vinicius’ position in Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over Leganes.
Real Madrid headed south of the capital to visit Leganes in round 14 of La Liga with something special: for the first time in 18 matches of the season, Kylian Mbappé started on the left wing.
MBappe used the familiar position of Vinicius Junior over the years, bringing the Brazilian player closer to the opponent’s penalty area.

It was Mbappe who scored the opening goal at the end of the first half, from Vinicius’s track, in the 3-0 win over Real Madrid. Valverde and Jude Bellingham scored the remaining 2 goals.
“It was a good match, I started well, I started to get into rhythm,” Mappe said when winning 3 points with his home team.
The former PSG player talked about winning Vinicius’s familiar position: “I played in a different position than in previous matches.
I can play in any position, and in the next match I may still play in a completely different role.
I’m always ready. That’s the story of my career, working on the right wing, the center, the left wing… I want to play well and score many goals.”
Mbappe also explained his friendship with Vinicius: “Well, I have a very good relationship with Vini. He’s a great player, like everyone.
