Paris – 01:15 AM, early this morning. A security video recently released by the investigation force shows the entire moment Liverpool striker Hugo Ekitike suddenly had an accident in the middle of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood – one of the most crowded and wealthy areas of the capital Paris.
According to the image from the street corner camera, at exactly 10:45 PM, Ekitike was walking on the sidewalk when a silver car rushed at an unusually high speed. Without any sign of braking, the car hit him hard, causing the 22-year-old star to fall to the tiled floor, motionless for several seconds. The crowd panicked, many people shouted for help, while others tried to approach the victim.
However, the most horrifying part of the video is not the collision—but the mysterious man who appeared immediately after.
Just 4 seconds after the crash, a man wearing a black hoodie, his face covered, stopped his motorbike right next to Ekitike. No one understood how he arrived so quickly.
He leaned down, put his ear close to Ekitike’s and whispered something. The camera didn’t pick up the sound, but the expressions on the faces of nearby witnesses showed they had heard something terrible.
Just seconds later, the man jumped into his car and sped away, leaving behind a chaotic scene and a victim still lying motionless.
Paris police have now sealed off the entire area, extracted more than 12 security cameras and are searching for the identity of the man in the black hat. An investigative source revealed that his words sent a “shiver down the spine” of the witness, but could not release it because it would affect the investigation.
Liverpool issued a brief statement at 1:05 AM, confirming that Ekitike was being treated at the hospital and “under special observation.”
